New Website Feature Gives Public Access to Inmate Roster
Note: The BaxterCountySheriff.com website was produced by and is maintained by Brooks-Jeffrey Marketing, Inc. of Mountain Home, Arkansas.
The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce that a brand new feature on our website is now operational. This new feature allows public access to the current jail inmate roster. The jail inmate roster shows the inmate’s name, address, book-in date, charges, bond amount, and court date. The data refreshes and updates every fifteen (15) minutes. All of the inmate booking records that can be accessed online through our website is public information that is freely available to any citizen.
Members of the public can select links that show not only inmates who are currently incarcerated in the detention center, but they can also access information about inmates who have been released from the detention center within the last forty-eight (48) hours. The main inmate roster page can be accessed from a link on the left hand column of the Sheriff’s Office home page (www.baxtercountysheriff.com).
Another component allows members of the public to sign up for email alerts sent to their home or office that will provide them each day with an email showing inmates who have been booked in and released during the past twenty-four (24) hours. The alert will be emailed each morning at 6:00 AM.
This new feature has been under development for several months, and testing has taken place over the past two weeks. We believe this new tool will become a valuable informational and investigative asset to the Sheriff’s Office personnel and other law enforcement agencies. It will also provide the public with a centralized database they can access to find out basic information about who is in custody and who has been recently released from custody at the detention center. Rather than having to place a call to the Sheriff’s Office, people can obtain information on inmates from their home or office computer if they choose to.
Anyone with questions about this new feature can call the administration offices or the detention center at 870-425-7000.
John F. Montgomery,
Baxter County Sheriff
